Our Mission:

Rooted in local support, we seek to improve safety for people and wildlife on US 287 and MT 87 by increasing awareness and advancing community-born solutions that reduce wildlife-vehicle collisions and maintain wildlife connectivity along our critical highway corridor.

Our Vision:

To create a future in Madison Valley where wildlife-vehicle collisions are rare, US 287 and MT 87 are not major barriers to wildlife movement, and an aware and engaged community works together to advance solutions for wildlife and transportation conflict.

Who We Are:

Madison Passages is a broad partnership of organizations and community members concerned with highway safety for people and wildlife in the Madison Valley formed in September 2025. The partnership includes Preserve Raynolds Pass (PRP), Madison Valley Ranchlands Group (MVRG), Henry’s Fork Wildlife Alliance (HFWA), Greater Yellowstone Coalition (GYC), Center for Large Landscape Conservation (CLLC), National Parks Conservation Association (NPCA) and residents of the Madison Valley. These individuals and entities have come together with a shared mission and vision. In 2026, our focus is outreach to the community, providing clear information and ensuring local priorities shape the path forward.
